RULES OF PLAY

  • COIN FLIPS DETERMINE FIRST POSSESSION. 
  • ALL GAMES ARE PLAYED TO 11 POINTS BY ONES (1) OR UNTIL TIME ENDS. 
  • 15 MINUTE RUNNING CLOCK.  AFTER 15 MINUTES, TEAM WITH HIGHEST POINTS WINS.
  • LOSERS BALL - BALL IS GIVEN TO OPPOSING TEAM AFTER A MADE SHOT.
  • REFEREES KEEP SCORE.
  • TEAMS MUST TAKE THE BALL BACK TO 3 POINT LINE AFTER REBOUND BY OPPOSITE TEAM AND WITH TURNOVERS, AIR BALLS, MISSED BACKBOARD AND RIM SHOTS. 
  • 2 POINTS ARE GIVEN FOR SHOTS MADE BEHIND THE STANDARD 3 POINT LINE.
  • ONE FOUL SHOT IS GIVEN PER FOUL – ANY TYPE.  FOUL SHOTS MADE ARE GIVEN TO OPPOSING TEAM.  FOUL SHOTS GIVEN ARE DETERMINED BY REFEREE DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE FOUL.
  • TWO FOUL SHOTS ARE GIVEN FOR FOULS WHICH OCCUR BEHIND THE STANDARD 3 POINT LINE.
  • ALL STANDARD BASKETBALL RULES APPLY SUCH AS DOUBLE DRIBBLE, TRAVELING, OUT OF BOUNDS ETC…
  • SUBSTITUTION CAN ONLY OCCUR AFTER A MADE SHOT. 
  • BALL IS TAKEN OUT AT TOP OF KEY AT ALL TIMES.   
  • TWO 30 SECOND TIME OUTS PER TEAM.  CLOCK STOPS ON EACH TIME OUT.
  • IN CASES OF TIE GAMES AT THE END OF 20 MINUTES, GAME WILL GO INTO A 3 MINUTE OVERTIME SLOT.  FIRST TEAM TO 16 OR HAS THE HIGHEST POINTS AT THE END OF THE OVERTIME SLOT WINS GAME. TIME CAN NOT BE STOPPED DURING OVERTIME. 
  • 1 60 SECOND TIME OUT AND CLOCK STOPS DURING OVERTIME WITH TIME OUT.  
  • NO ARGUING WITH REFEREES.  REFEREES WILL CALL ONE SHOT TECHNICAL FOULS IF NECESSARY. 
  • PLAY SAFE AND HAVE LOTS OF FUN.
