3 ON 3 TOUR, INC. HISTORY
3 on 3 Tour, Inc. was founded in 2000
for the purposes of providing proceeds for program support of non-profit
organizations through the utilization of sporting events, primarily
basketball. 3 on 3 Tour, Inc. has established core
principles and implemented community outreach programs that continue
to expand 3 on 3 Tour, Inc. across the United States and
internationally.
Our chronicle of success is due in
large part to the communities that participate in our events along
with our corporate philosophy: Embrace the customer with respect,
dignity, service and support. Promote responsibility, commitment
and motivation through sports. Stay committed to giving, providing
resources for advancement and building long lasting connections
among individuals, communities and the company. Our history is
concise, noteworthy and exhilarating and began with an idea designed
to bring communities together and have a lot of fun in the process.
CHRONICLE - 3 on 3 Tour, Inc. has held
events in honor of the following non profit organizations:
In honor of the Lillian Jones
Youth Foundation, Daryl Colbert, Founder and CEO; 3 on 3 Tour held a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the Rockville
Sports Plex in Rockville, MD. Teams
from Webb Elementary School, Parkview
Community Center and neighboring recreational centers in Washington, DC played against teams from
Patterson, NJ, Long Island, NY and Lawrence, NY. This event was widely
attended by local communities and media representatives. The event
was filmed as
a 3 on 3 TV show and later aired on Public Access channels 95 and 96
in Washington, DC.
The Lillian Jones Youth Foundation’s mission is to instill
confidence, teach responsibility and energize underserved school-age
youth to embrace their limitless possibilities and become future
leaders in their communities. The Youth Foundation, through key
strategic alliances with schools, families, and community
organizations, will motivate and educate the children and support
their growth by: Encouraging attendance through incentive programs.
Mentoring children by exposing them to positive role models,
activities and opportunities to help them discover and reach the
potential within each of them. Instill the value of a formal
education and build the community to help create a safer, more
nurturing and supportive environment.

In honor of the Ebenezer A.M.E.
Church in Ft. Washington, MD, 3 on 3 Tour sponsored
teams for the “Hooping for Glory” 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at
the Ebenezer Church 36 acre main campus parking lot. Teams participated from Maryland public schools, the local
YMCA and recreational centers. This event was attended and
supported by Councilman Tony Knots, Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission and Prince Georges County government officials. The
event was filmed as a 3 on 3 TV show and later aired on Public
Access channels 95 and 96 in Washington, DC.
The mission of Ebenezer A.M.E
Church is to spread the good news of
the Gospel to the masses in various mediums so that individuals of
all faiths and ethnic groups; those who are behind prison walls,
bound, sick or shut-in can receive faith, healing, and restoration,
and be set free, by listening and meditating on the Word of God
through the powerful messages preached and taught by anointed
preachers and ministers of the Gospel. Romans

cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD."

In honor of the
Universal Center for Development,
Steven Willis, Founder and President of the
Washington, DC vocational trade school, 3
on 3 Tour held the “Hoops for Education” 3 on 3
Basketball Tournament in Neptune, NJ at Rebounds
Basketball gym. Teams from Patterson, NJ, Trenton, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, Long Island, NY and Lawrence, NY participated at the event.
The event was filmed
as a 3 on 3 TV show
and later aired on Public Access channels 95 and 96 in Washington,
DC. World Wide Recordings, an
independent record label, provided and sponsored the music for the
television show.
The Universal Center for
Development (UCD) is a District of Columbia non-profit
corporation, established for the metropolitan area adults ages 16 to
24. Their mission is to
preserve, advance and promote opportunities in vocational trades,
and marketable skills for persons with disabilities, high school
drop outs, individuals re-entering society after incarceration,
displaced workers, unemployed persons and underemployed persons.
